Due to possible different encoding / decoding characters settings in harvesting systems, it is recommended to avoid special characters (e.g.: ! , " , # , $ , % , ' , ( , ) , * , / , : , , , ? , @ , [ , \ , ] , ^ , _ , ` , { , | , } , ~ , ' , € , etc. ) . UTF-8 is a widely adopted encoding / decoding signs standard and it is recommended to use it. Through the generic UTF-8 encoding are supported Croatian special characters č, ć , đ , š , ž , Č, Ć , Đ , Š and Ž as well special characters of official EU languages (see MD_CharacterSetCode).
